Different users have access to different functions of the site. While anyone can do most things on the site, including reading and editing, administrators can access a few additional functions.

These additional functions include:

• Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
• Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
• Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
• Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.

Administrators should not use their administrator powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Administrator powers should be used to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.

This section is for requesting adminship. On this page, users can request to be given admin tools. If you think that you could contribute to LEGO Wikianswers better as an administrator, or know someone else who could, then request or nominate here.

As fun as being an administrator is, it also requires a good deal of time and effort. An inactive administrator is no use to the wiki, so all candidates should be active.

All requests for adminship last for two weeks, and require 70% support to pass.

To file a request for adminship, or to nominate a user for adminship, both you and the person that you are nominating must have at least 100 mainspace edits. The more edits you have, the more it shows your dedication to the LEGO Wikianswers and thus it makes it more likely for your request to pass.

Any registered user can vote in adminship requests or nominations. Each user may vote once in each request or nomination. To vote, simply add # Reason for voting ~~~~ under the appropriate header, or use the following templates, placed under the appropriate header:

To file a new request or nomination, enter the name of the user who you are nominating, or your own name, and submit. All of the required info will be in the new page, just modify it to your needs.
